Course Offerings
One-Time Events
For those of you who are busy but curious, Nalanda offers one-time events meant to give you a taste for meditation, yoga, contemplative learning and our scientific teaching tradition.
- If you want to experience or learn meditation or yoga, we hold frequent drop-in sessions where you can meet instructors, try basic methods like mindfulness, mind-clearing or role-modeling imagery, and get a feel for whether/which contemplative method is for you.
- If you’re looking for a more intensive experience, we offer one or two workshops and retreats each semester, which are all open for drop-ins, provided you check with the instructor.
- If you want to learn more about contemplative science, contemplative psychotherapy, meditation and stress-reduction, self-healing or optimal health, there are brief one to three session talks offered most semesters at various venues around New York City.
