SUMMER Retreat 2011
Freeing Insight:
Mastering the Art of Self-Analysis
Starting with simple mindfulness and yogic meditation postures popularized in the West, this retreat helps participants ground these basic practices in the self-healing principles of the four noble truths, and link them to the map of contemplative living laid out in the eightfold path, the eight limbs of yoga and the twelve steps of modern recovery. It shows how the four truths line up with four scopes of mindfulness—of the breathing body, raw sensation, primal mind and mental contents—yielding the four insights that free us up for contemplative living.
