Is lasting happiness possible in an age of dwindling resources and rising interdependence? Gladly, new science says yes: we all can learn to tame stress and violence and live in sustainable peace, care and love.
Yet the best maps and tools we have for this great change come not from new science but from the ancient wisdom of India and Tibet.
Nalanda Institute is a non-profit community working to build a sustainable future by infusing ancient contemplative science into contemporary culture and ways of life.
We combine public teaching—one-time events; fall and spring classes; and our four year program—with private counseling and mentoring to help people learn all they need for their journey to contemplative living.
To support learning, public and private, we offer online resources, translations and publications, professional supervision and clinical research.
